DMCI to launch real estate projects worth P50-B

MANILA - DMCI Project Developers Inc., the real estate arm of Consunji-led DMCI Holdings Inc., is betting big on residential and mass housing units.

DMCI said it aims to launch a string of projects next year worth P50 billion.

According to DMCI Project Developers president Alfredo Austria, the firm is planning to launch 14,000 residential units in the market in 2016 as it explores plans to venture into mass housing development and high-end residential market.

The property firm is also eyeing Bataan for its first horizontal development project.

Austria said Dacon Corp., a DMCI major shareholder, owns a large property in Bataan that may be developed into a residential area.

Other projects in the pipeline include a high-end development project in a 1-hectare lot near Pagcor Entertainment City.

Meanwhile, the company said it has raised P10 billion by offering five-year corporate notes. to finance its expansion plans.
